Transport

By train

 you have the choice to stop in France or in Switzerland

In France: Thonon les Bains with a link with buses to Châtel (or taxis); 45 mn to Châtel .

 Evian les Bains: Taxis only; 45 mn (85€)

In Switzerland: Aigle is the closest railway station, 25 mn to Châtel, via le Pas-de-Morgins, but taxis only (60€)

By plane

Geneva Airport (French side!) and then you can :

        – rent a car

        – take a FRENCH taxi from Geneva to Chatel (120-140€!).                        I recommend Taxi Gagneux 00 33 04 50 73 02 83 or voyages.gagneux@gmail.com

Beware! Do not take a Swiss Taxi from the Airport (swiss side): 300€!!!!

        – take a train to Aigle via Lausanne (certainly the cheapest way from Geneva airport) or to Thonon les Bains and then a taxi Gagneux…
